Working one-on-one with our team, you'll hand select all of your options and finishes. We encourage you to bring in photos, fabric swatches or pillows to help paint a picture of your vision which we can then strive to recreate in your new home. The list below are examples of the most common items Bennett homeowners bring in.
Design Checklist
  • Fabric swatches from furniture going into the new home.
  • Create a list of what you want done in each room. Do your homework; find photographs from magazines and catalogs that illustrate design elements, furniture, colors, and woodwork that you like.
  • Pillows, pillow cases, sheets - Basically, anything with fabric going into the new home and that is easily transportable for meetings at our design studio.
  • Determine with your family, how you will be using the living spaces in your new home. Will it be formal or casual? Traditional or contemporary?
  • Be realistic when creating your list. Prioritize your list for each room; remember that it is easy to add a new rug or furniture, but difficult to change permanent fixtures.
  • If you are starting your interiors from scratch, you can start by choosing fabrics first and base the color of your wall from it, then you can select furniture that compliments the color of walls and the fabrics that you are going to use.
